Join us at our nursery for an afternoon of learning about seed collection and propagation of native plants!

We’ll take a walk around the farm to learn about some of the native plants that grow here, collect seeds from them, and then take them back to the nursery to process them to get them ready for propagation! Topics covered will include seed cleaning techniques like threshing, winnowing, screening, wet-processing, and some more advanced techniques.

Then, we’ll talk about seed dormancy and the various ways we can get our seeds to germinate. Participants will be able to take home lots of the seeds we process so you can grow your own!
